And this is how it started….

What happens when its late on a Sunday evening and you’ve forgotten to buy your wife a card or present for her birthday the following day?

The answer...

First and foremost panic, proceed to sweat profusely and then run out of the front door screaming. The good news is however that within seconds of leaving you’ll have a light bulb moment and the vision to see that the three pallets staring at you from across the road on top of a skip is the answer to all your worries!

In the small town of Porto Cristo, Mallorca, this is exactly how this script unfolded and little did I know after 3 hours later on the roof terrace armed with only an Ikea tool kit, 3 tins of paint and a few nails, my blind panic had sailed quietly off into the Mediterranean Sea, present and card were all made and the seeds to Willow Tree Workshop were sewn!

Woodwork soon turned from a present to passion and in no time at all became a business. Throughout my career I have always taken great pride in my work and this has only increased since becoming a craftsman. Willow Tree Workshop has now evolved into a family business with our young daughter Willow being the inspiration for the company name. They say “Trees grow from acorns!” Well this Willow Tree grew from a Skip!
